PREVIOUS TRIVIA CHALLENGE:
Who said, "I wear my sort of clothes to save me the trouble of deciding which clothes to wear " ?
CORRECT ANSWER:
Katherine Hepburn
Kate Hepburn has been my inspiration since my teenage years...
stubbornly unique, unrelentingly "herself." thanks Kate!
If you were to look in my closet you'd see two kinds of clothes: clothes I wear on stage-- dressy, very feminine, usually colorful, even flashy, often decolletage--
and then there's the clothes I wear all the other times...my civilian duds...always dressed just for comfort, totally informal, tee-shirts, sweatshirts & sweatpants...my civvie uniform. No suits! no fussy-mussy stuff! No powerdressing! And frankly, nothing in-between. See! I never have to decide what to wear, either!
In fact, many of the clothes I wear I have worn since high school. My motto:: Keep everything. Eventually, it will come back "into fashion."
And you won't even have to bother your head about Fashion.
This is a quote by Paul Newman:
"...No water spray would dare him a hassle. The water would never be too hot or too cold and the eggs at breakfast would always come out of the pan perfect." To whom was Paul referring?
ANSWER TO PREVIOUS TRIVIA CHALLENGE: Robert Redford "Not that it matters, but most of it is true." Yeah, baby! Right answer!
Newman said this about Redford in a 1977 interview.
In 1988, Redford said this about Newman:
"....We had dinner with him. We're driving home and I'm thinking: God, here's old Paul -- what is he, 60, 61? He looks great, feels great, has a lot of money, gives to great causes, he's in love with his wife, he races his cars... makes a movie when he wants to, he's incredibly happy and still has the face that looks the way it did when he was 20.
God, by the time we got home, I wanted to shoot myself.
(Esquire Magazine, 1988)
Let's hear it for major Hollywood honcho mutual-admiration societies !!!!
Forget that "of the people, by the people" stuff : THIS is the true backbone of American Civilization!
